Verity is a preparatory school situated in Durban, Kwazulu Natal that is specifically tailored to the satisfaction of the needs of the exceptionally able and highly potential child, and offers tuition and learning programmes suitable for:

• grades 1-7 (Preparatory school)
• as well as a pilot group of Grade 7 learners who have already completed their programme and who are now moving to grade 8 work in preparation for international examinations to take place in 2011.

In 2011 Verity will be expanding upon its’ offering to include:

• Grade 0 (2011)
• and grades 9,
• and in the future the school will offer tuition up to grade 12 (2012 to 2013).

Verity Preparatory School (Grades 1-7) follows the Outcomes Based Education programme, integrating a number of learning areas into coherent themes. All class sizes are limited to a number of 16 pupils.

Each student of Verity is encouraged to assist in the planning of a:

• relevant,
• vibrant
• and
• interesting programme for the year
• and to define the outcomes and competencies to be
• mastered.

Unique interests and abilities are used to guide a differentiated curriculum for each unique pupil attending the school.

The College (Grade 8 onwards) follows this same integrated theme approach as is used in the Preparatory school, whilst also preparing pupils for internationally recognised O and A
level examinations and qualifications.
