It is important to know the effects that stress has on your mind and body so that you can manage and cope with it to the best of your ability. When you are faced with a stressful situation, the flight or fight mechanism is activated in your brain releasing adrenaline into your system. Adrenaline will increase your breathing and your heart rate, pumping blood to you extremities faster so that you will be able to engage in the appropriate action.
